The HKBU Library will host its annual E-resources Discovery Week with a series of luncheon and workshops on the paid e-resources and database available for students in the coming week. Journalism students are encouraged to join as they have invited a list of star speakers on how to find credible news resources, including:
Hanh M. Dong from New York Times will discuss how to distinguish fake news and the importance of honest journalism in a post-truth era on March 12 (Monday).
Also, Carol So from ProQuest will introduce various resources on how to find news around the world, including Factiva and various databases on the ProQuest platform at the same date.
Furthermore, Alfred Ng from Cengage Gale will cover a wide range of full-text primary source content from human sexuality to declassified U.S. documents from the Gale Primary Sources on March 14 (Wednesday).
